Hi everyone.

We will be publishing a new update to the Impulse Overlay soon.

This update will:

+ Fix display bug where some players showed 0% win percentage even when they had played and won games

+ Cut back on the amount of bandwidth used when connecting to other players in the game

+ Remove the "% Games Completed" stat from the overlay.  At this time, we are unable to accurately track this data.  We are working on a solution, though.

It will be available on Impulse as soon as it goes through testing.

Good call. I have like 10x longer connection times since the overlay came out (beta/retail), and I never had a problem before, so I'm quite ceratin it's the overlay.

If you hadn't tried it, use the proxyserver switch:

add   /serverproxyonly    to the executable in your short cut.

 

That speeds up connections.  

 

Now, we need to address the ton of crashed games "unhandled exception error" that I've seen.

I don't see what this has to do with proxies. I never needed those before. Downloaded older impulsefiles from another thread by frogboy. Those are slow too but work a little better then the recent ones.

I don't understand the reason the proxy server only switch works, but it is amazingly quicker than whatever got broken with the overlay.
